Client Tendril develops energy management systems that connect in-home devices to the energy utility back office.
Product The Tendril Residential Energy Ecosystem (TREE) enables consumers to better understand their energy consumption patterns and make energy saving changes. TREE also allows energy suppliers to establish a deeper relationship with their customers and deploy smart energy conservation programs designed to meet the individual needs of their consumer.
Project Tendril sought Magpie’s expertise in Flex to help develop the consumer portal portion of the TREE system.
Outcome Using Flex, REST and HTTPS/SSL, Magpie completed the GUI, fully tested it and delivered a working consumer portal.
Tendril then asked Magpie to assist in the creation of their utility portal in Flex and to perform many other critical R&D tasks in their business: systems engineering, quality assurance, current engineering, and software development of cross-platform installers, back-end servers, and embedded software using Flex, RESTlets, Spring, Hibernate and ZigBee.
