Project Magpie's programming allowed the INTUITY AUDIX system to be backed up over a Local Area Network (LAN). Enhanced capabilities included providing backup and restoring functionality for messages, system administration, and subscriber data. Users access the backup functionality through web pages or legacy console interfaces. The web application was built using cgi-bin shell scripts and supports both standard and text-only web browsers.
Outcome Magpie successfully completed the project on time. The new functionality can be purchased as an INTUITY AUDIX feature.
