Java/Web Application/Flex2 Developer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Quickly understand existing Flex/Java code base for a software application so that it can be integrated with another web application
  • Develop software in Flex, Java, and php
  • Work collaboratively with other developers to plan the work and develop software according to the plan

Skills and Experience Necessary

  • Knowledge of Web Application development (Flex/Java preferred) on Linux and/or Microsoft platforms
  • Experience with relational database management systems (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g. Junit, TestNG)
  • Ability to quickly learn and become productive
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience with source control and software configuration tools (e.g. ANT, Maven)
  • Experience in using eXtreme Programming (XP)/Agile practices
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and a can-do attitude

 Education and Experience Necessary

·         BS in Computer Science or equivalent with 4 plus years of related work experience.

Technical Project Manager/ScrumMaster

Agile/Certified ScrumMaster who is expected to facilitate a team that is responsible for process, project, design and development of products and services for clients. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and provides status reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maximize the team’s efforts toward its goals while removing the impediments that stand in the way encouraging creativity and empowerment
  • Responsible for the coordination of all aspects of the development and
    implementation of assigned project(s)
  • Responsible for having a high degree of knowledge in Agile practices and techniques
  • Single point of contact for projects from original concept through final delivery
  • Conducts daily scrum meetings with team and act as the product owner with client
  • Oversees cost, time-constraints, and internal staffing

Skills and Experience Necessary

  • Agile/Certified ScrumMaster with technical background to manage one or more Agile projects with technical developers.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of the software development processes and practices
  • Ability to define project scope and objectives and plan work in an Agile/Scrum manner
  • Excellent customer management and leadership skills
  • Ability to track and analyze projects and deliverables
  • Previous skills as a developer, systems engineer and/or architect is a plus 
  • Excellent communication skills with a can do attitude

Education and Experience Necessary

  •  BS in Computer Science or equivalent with 8 plus years of related work experience.
